Final Aim Files New Patent Application for Intellectual Property Management Technology in Generative AI–Driven Design and Product Development
Centralized Management of Generation Histories to Support Corporate Creativity, Information Governance, and IP Protection

Tokyo Japan, Aug 2, 2025 – Final Aim, Inc. (Headquarters: Delaware, US / Co-Founder & CEO: Masafumi Asakura, Co-Founder & CDO: Yasuhide Yokoi, hereinafter referred to as “Final Aim”), today announced that it has filed a new patent application covering an information processing technology that structurally records and visualizes generation histories in generative AI–driven design creation and product development.
The technology enables comprehensive management of generation conditions, including input prompts and images, AI models, and additional training (fine-tuning), providing a robust foundation for intellectual property (IP) management in the era of generative AI. This application follows Final Aim’s previously filed and granted patents related to IP management technologies and is intended to further strengthen IP infrastructure aligned with real-world use of generative AI in the design domain.
About Final Aim and the “Final Design” Platform
Founded in December 2019, Final Aim established its U.S. headquarters in 2022 and has since been developing and providing a design and IP management platform that supports next-generation design development and intellectual property management powered by generative AI.

Since the launch of the platform, Final Aim has supported the safe and secure adoption of generative AI by leading global enterprises across a wide range of industries—including automotive, motorcycles, heavy industry, consumer electronics, precision equipment, entertainment, and fashion—such as Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. and Honda Motor Co., Ltd.
Final Aim has also been invited to NVIDIA GTC 2025, the world’s leading AI conference hosted by NVIDIA in San Jose, California, where the company’s advanced initiatives were introduced to a global audience.

Background: The Expansion of Generative AI in Design and the Need for Authenticity
In recent years, AI-generated imagery has rapidly proliferated across industries, including design and manufacturing. However, this expansion has also highlighted challenges in clearly identifying who generated content, when, and how—making it increasingly difficult to objectively demonstrate authorship, creative contribution, and ownership of copyrights, design rights, and inventions.
To address these challenges, Final Aim has developed an information processing technology that captures, records, and displays the entire generation process itself as verifiable history. This approach is designed to meet corporate governance requirements while simultaneously enabling and accelerating creative production.
Overview of the Patent Application and Key Features
The newly filed patent relates to an information processing device, program, and method that enables structured and centralized management of the following data:
- Input Information:
Hand-drawn illustrations, prompts, 3D data, and other creative inputs - Condition Information:
AI models used (e.g., Stable Diffusion), versions, licensing and contractual information, and training data used for fine-tuning along with associated IP information - Generated Output Information:
Generated images and 3D data, timestamps, and identified feature elements - History Information:
Linked datasets that visualize the chronological sequence of generation processes
All data is recorded and managed as structured information. When required, portions of the data can be integrated with blockchain technology to enable highly tamper-resistant history management.
The patent also covers a graphical user interface (GUI) that allows users to visually associate generated outputs with their corresponding prompts, conditions, and distinctive features.
Expected Use Cases
- Proof of creativity and authenticity for AI-generated design images and product visuals within enterprises
- Governance-compliant recording of generation histories across outsourcing, joint development, and in-house production
- Management of data provenance for fine-tuned AI models and their training datasets
- Establishment of secure enterprise environments for generative AI adoption while mitigating IP and confidential information risks
Final Aim will continue building a highly reliable foundation that enables the coexistence of generative AI utilization and robust intellectual property protection across creative industries, including design and manufacturing.
By collaborating with global stakeholders in Japan, the United States, and beyond, Final Aim aims to realize next-generation creative environments where creativity and technology can thrive together—through its design and IP management platform, Final Design.
