Final Aim, Inc. (Headquarters: Delaware, USA; "Final Aim") is pleased to announce that it will co-host an event with Autodesk, Inc. (Headquarters: California, USA; "Autodesk") titled "The Future of Design, Engineering, and Manufacturing Powered by AI." The event will take place on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at STATION Ai, one of Japan's largest open innovation hubs.

The Aichi and Chubu region is home to a concentration of Japan's leading manufacturers and has long supported the front lines of design, engineering, and production. Today, the way things are made in this region is reaching a new turning point driven by AI.

From idea generation and visualization with generative AI, to design and engineering, simulation, manufacturing, and on to physical AI and agentic AI, the applications of AI are expanding rapidly. Beyond improving the efficiency of individual tasks, AI is poised to fundamentally transform manufacturing processes and even the structure of the industry itself.

How will AI connect design, engineering, and manufacturing, and what new forms of product creation will it make possible?

At this event, held at STATION Ai in Nagoya, where manufacturing and startups intersect, Final Aim and Autodesk will present the latest trends and practical case studies in AI and manufacturing.

The event will also welcome guest speaker Yuki Ogasawara, whose work spans a wide range of fields from research to industry, including the University of Tokyo, RIKEN, Sony, and a physical AI startup, at the forefront of next-generation manufacturing. Together, the speakers will explore where AI stands today and what lies ahead, from the perspectives of design, engineering, and manufacturing.

From Chubu, the heart of Japanese manufacturing, we look forward to exploring the possibilities of creativity and manufacturing in the AI era together with participants.

Yuki Ogasawara

After studying at Tokyo Metropolitan College of Industrial Technology and Saitama University, Yuki graduated at the top of his class from the Graduate School of the University of Tokyo. While consistently researching prosthetic hands and robotic hands, he gained hands-on experience through work at RIKEN and startups, as well as contract development as a sole proprietor. After graduating, he developed skill-measurement devices and exoskeleton robots at Sony CSL. In 2025, a paper based on this device was featured on the cover of Science Robotics. He specializes in robot development that integrates mechanical structures, electrical circuits, embedded systems, and AI. His many awards include the James Dyson Award 2020 National Winner (Japan). He has filed five PCT international patent applications (published) and is a co-author of Fusion 360 Masters (Autodesk, Inc., 2017).

Yuji Fujimura
Sr. Manager, Fusion Sales - APAC, Autodesk, Inc.

Fujimura leads APAC sales for Autodesk Fusion, Autodesk's cloud-based design and manufacturing platform. Focusing on Japan, Korea, India, Australia/New Zealand, and ASEAN, he drives business strategy tailored to each regional market, sales organization building, partner strategy, and expanded adoption among major manufacturers. Centered on the digitalization of design and manufacturing processes, he proposes new approaches to product creation that leverage CAD/CAM, cloud, AI, PLM, and other technologies. Bridging on-the-ground technical challenges and management-level business issues, he leads the growth of the Fusion business in Japan and APAC from both technology and business perspectives.

Yasuhide "Yasu" Yokoi

Co-Founder & Chief Design Officer, Final Aim, Inc.

Born in Japan and raised in Australia, Yasuhide began his career at Nikon Corporation after graduating from Tama Art University. He then joined a 3D printing startup as an early founding member, helping launch its digital manufacturing platform before its acquisition by a major listed company in 2017.

With over 15 years of experience in industrial design, as well as expertise in UI/UX, branding, and intellectual property, he has collaborated with companies such as Toyota, Honda, Sony, Panasonic, Microsoft, and Autodesk to drive new business through design. He has spoken at MIT, Autodesk University, and NVIDIA GTC, and has received awards including the iF Design Award, Red Dot Design Award, and Good Design Award.
