Final Aim Raises Pre-Series A Funding from MIXI, Inc. with an Eye Toward Future Strategic Collaboration

Expanding Beyond Design and Manufacturing to Accelerate Growth in the Creative Sector

Final Aim, Inc. (Headquarters: Delaware, U.S. / Co-Founder & CEO: Masafumi Asakura; “Final Aim”) is pleased to announce that it has raised funding in its Pre-Series A round from MIXI, Inc. (Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan / Representative Director, President, Executive Officer and CEO: Koki Kimura; “MIXI”), marking the beginning of a relationship aimed at exploring future business collaboration opportunities.

Through this funding round, Final Aim will further accelerate the development and deployment of “Final Design”, its intellectual property management platform designed for AI-powered creative production, design workflows, and content creation.

Building on its track record in the design and manufacturing sectors across the United States and Japan, the company will expand its focus into a broader range of creative industries, including animation, film and video production, gaming, character and IP development, advertising, and digital content creation. Through this expansion, Final Aim aims to establish a trusted environment where enterprises and creators can confidently adopt generative AI across global markets, including Japan, the United States, and Asia.

Background of the Funding Round

Since its founding, Final Aim has focused on helping organizations reduce intellectual property risks associated with AI-assisted development while ensuring traceability throughout the creative and product development lifecycle.

The rapid advancement of generative AI has dramatically increased the speed at which organizations can produce concept sketches, visual designs, 3D assets, promotional videos, and other creative outputs. At the same time, companies face growing challenges in maintaining transparent and auditable records of source materials, prompts, generated outputs, revision histories, ownership information, contractual obligations, and internal approval processes.

These challenges are particularly significant in creative industries such as illustration, manga, animation, film, gaming, and advertising, where a single creation may evolve into a wide range of derivative assets and experiences, including characters, background artwork, storyboards, key visuals, video content, 3D models, merchandise, live events, and international licensing opportunities.

Final Aim believes that a system capable of managing production records and rights information across the entire creative lifecycle is no longer merely a compliance requirement. Rather, it is becoming essential infrastructure for enabling intellectual property to scale securely and sustainably on a global stage.

Strategic Significance of MIXI's Investment

MIXI operates businesses across sports, lifestyle, digital entertainment, and investment, with communication at the core of its mission. The company has also developed extensive expertise in media mix strategies built around game IP, as well as a broad range of creative initiatives spanning video, animation, and digital content.

MIXI's investment represents a significant milestone for Final Aim as it expands the capabilities it has developed in AI-powered design and intellectual property management into a wider range of creative sectors, including gaming, animation, film, character and IP development, and advertising.

By improving transparency, accountability, and trust in AI-assisted content creation, Final Aim aims to become a foundational infrastructure that supports the global growth and distribution of intellectual property and creative content originating from Japan.

Future Initiatives

1. Enhanced Support for Creative Production Workflows

Final Aim will continue expanding Final Design's capabilities to support complex creative workflows involving character design, background art, storyboarding, key visuals, 3D assets, animation, and video production. The platform will provide centralized management of production records, prompts, source materials, revision histories, and rights-related information across multiple stages of the creative process.

2. Expanded AI Governance for Enterprise Organizations

The company will further strengthen governance capabilities that enable production studios, advertising agencies, game developers, IP owners, and enterprise marketing teams to deploy AI responsibly at scale. Planned enhancements include advanced workflow configuration, access control, approval management, and audit-ready reporting features that support collaboration across internal teams and external creators.

3. Global Expansion and Strategic Partnerships

Leveraging its presence in Japan and the United States, Final Aim will deepen collaboration with creative organizations, production studios, and technology partners throughout Asia and other international markets. The company aims to establish a widely adopted platform that supports content creation and intellectual property management in the age of generative AI.

4. Organizational Growth and Talent Acquisition

To support its next phase of growth, Final Aim will continue expanding its team across executive leadership, product development, engineering, security, business development, enterprise sales, creative production, and operational functions. The company is actively recruiting candidates for key leadership positions, including future Chief Operating Officer (COO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) positions, while strengthening the organizational foundation required for global expansion.

Comment from Takamasa Murakami, Principal, Corporate Development Division, MIXI, Inc.

"We are delighted to participate in Final Aim's Pre-Series A financing round.

Advances in generative AI are rapidly expanding creative possibilities across gaming, video, music, character development, and many other forms of content creation. At the same time, organizations seeking to adopt these technologies at scale require reliable mechanisms to ensure transparency throughout the production process, clarify ownership and rights relationships, and maintain accountability.

We believe Final Design has the potential to become a critical platform that enables creators to confidently leverage AI while helping businesses appropriately manage intellectual property and compliance-related risks.

We look forward to working closely with Final Aim and contributing insights from MIXI's creative teams and user-centric approach to help foster a safer and more innovative environment for content creation in the AI era.

We are excited by Final Aim's vision of building the infrastructure that will enable Japanese intellectual property and creative content to reach global audiences with greater confidence and trust."

Comment from Masafumi Asakura, Co-Founder & CEO, Final Aim, Inc.

"We are honored to welcome MIXI as an investor in our Pre-Series A round.

Since our founding, Final Aim has focused on building the infrastructure required for organizations to adopt generative AI safely and effectively within professional design and manufacturing environments. Our work has centered on intellectual property governance, process transparency, and operational trust.

However, the opportunities created by AI—and the importance of protecting intellectual property—extend far beyond manufacturing. Across animation, film, gaming, advertising, and character development, creators are gaining powerful new tools for expression. At the same time, transparency, rights management, stakeholder alignment, and accountability across global markets are becoming increasingly important.

MIXI has built exceptional user experiences and successful intellectual property businesses across communication and entertainment. Through this partnership, we will continue advancing Final Design as a platform that empowers organizations and creators around the world to collaborate with AI confidently, protect the value of their work, and unlock new opportunities for growth and innovation."
