Yamaha Motor – Amplifying design output and presentation with generative AI video
From concept to motion: using Final Design’s secure AI workflow to create authentic, IP-protected design videos at enterprise scale

Intro – challenge & opportunity
As consumer demands diversify, mobility leaders face the need to adapt platforms rapidly for a variety of niche applications. Yamaha Motor turned to its DIAPASON C580 electric vehicle platform — an agile, low-speed EV designed for challenging terrain and two-passenger use. Applications ranged from agriculture and factory operations to leisure and urban micro-mobility.
To unlock these opportunities, Yamaha needed to both accelerate customization workflows and elevate presentation quality for external audiences.
In partnership with Final Aim, Yamaha adopted the Final Design platform at the heart of this transformation. Final Design not only enabled massive ideation volume, but also provided the enterprise-grade data and IP protections required for corporate scale.
Generative AI at scale
Over the course of the project, the teams explored 20–30 customization categories and generated more than 2,500 design images. By leveraging generative AI tools for rapid variation, Yamaha could test multiple directions simultaneously — tailoring concepts for niche markets while collecting early-stage visual assets for promotions and communications.
Moreover, concept selection narrowed down to 9 fully realised concept applications, which were featured publicly at Tokyo Auto Salon 2025.
AI-powered video added another dimension: animated visuals showcasing the C580 in action, enabling design, engineering, and marketing teams to align more effectively.
Final Design — Protecting Intellectual Property
Generating large volumes of images and assets raises critical enterprise concerns: who owns what, how are intellectual property rights tracked, and how to ensure usage is ethical and compliant? Final Design addressed these issues head-on. Using patented smart contract and blockchain-backed provenance tracking, every creation, model, and asset remained under secure control — ensuring design integrity and protecting intellectual property.
For Yamaha, this meant the ability to innovate rapidly without compromise and IP concern, while maintaining full visibility and traceability over its creative output.
From concept to presentation
Once ideation was underway, the workflow moved from asset generation to presentation grade content.
Nine selected concepts were refined and presented via AI-generated video at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2025. These videos weren’t just marketing embellishments — they served as immersive storytelling tools, elevating the C580’s appeal in niche segments and underscoring Yamaha’s strategic vision for platform diversification.
By tying generative AI, secure data management, and high-impact presentation together, Yamaha created a holistic approach to design, promotion, and market launch readiness.

Impact & Strategic Value
- 90% reduction in video creation cost — by integrating generative AI workflow, Yamaha Motor transformed what previously required weeks of manual production into hours of automated, high-quality video generation and huge amount of cost. Teams could instantly visualize design intent, refine messaging, and iterate presentation assets in real time, without sacrificing IP control or creative integrity.
- 50% reduction in design iteration time — streamlined ideation, selection, and presentation cycles across teams.
- Over 2,500 concepts delivered across multiple niche segments — broadening Yamaha’s innovation funnel and accelerating market exploration.
- Enterprise-grade IP protection via Final Design — ensuring every visual asset, model, and video remained securely tracked, verified, and compliant.
- Platform diversification accelerated — empowering Yamaha to test new mobility use cases quickly and communicate them effectively through AI-generated storytelling.
